Down to Earth Energy at The Gateway

Green energy is coming to Nantwich in the form of ground source heat pumps. Weaver House, which forms part of Brighouse Homes’ new The Gateway development, is one of the very first residential developments in the country to feature the new state-of-the-art heating system.
Ground Source Heat Pumps collect energy in the ground and use this to keep the home continuously warm via an under floor heating system running individually through all of the apartments. This gives homeowners the benefit of substantially reduced running costs and it also reduces their property’s carbon footprint.
A Ground Source Heat Pump takes up the same amount of space as a traditional boiler and hot water tank, and is fed by many metres of pipe laid in the grounds of the property in a snake fashion. These pipes contain a solution which is warmed beneath the soil by a few degrees and when it enters the pump, it is put through a process that involves a series of heat exchangers and a compressor which raises the temperature to heat the properties.

Both properties offer apartments which have been designed and finished to the highest specification. All are pre-wired for a networking infrastructure for home entertainment and communications systems and buyers can choose from a range of contemporary or traditional fitted kitchens by Sheraton with Smeg appliances fitted as standard.
